The Prince of Wales opens the "Tent" at St Ethelburga's Centre for Peace and Reconciliation

The "Tent" at St Ethelburga's Centre for Peace and Reconciliation was opened by the Prince of Wales on completion in May 2006. This direct contract for the Centre, located in Bishopsgate in the City of London, comprised the construction of a courtyard with lights, fountain, planters and a genuine goat skin Beduin tent using materials from Morrocco, Saudi Arabia and London. The work was carried out to a very short programme in an extremely congested site. The guests at the opening comprised dignitaries of many denominations, including the Bishop of London and the Chief Rabbi.

Opening of Gordon and Woburn Squares for the University of London by HRH The Princess Royal

Gordon and Woburn Squares for the University of London were opened during May 2007 by HRH The Princess Royal. The work comprised the full reconstruction of the gardens, including new perimeter wall and railings, gravel paths, planting and seeding, with the renovation of a gardeners hut to create a new fully equipped refreshments kiosk. The contract value was approximately ?1.05m and the work partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the University of London.

New Car Park for the National Trust

We have recently completed the new car park at Polesden Lacey near Dorking for the National Trust. The car park, valued at ?400,000 is constructed from Fittleworth Stone, and is part of the project to recreate the area around the House by replacing the existing car park with a large lawn

New Contracts

Radnor Street Gardens was started on 28th January for Islington, which comprises the reconstruction of an existing park with a new ballcourt, playground, seating areas, paths and planting.

Manchester Gardens was started on 21st January for Haringey Council which is the reconstruction of an existing garden, with new disabled access, stone pavings, stone walling, pergola, lighting and the renovation of perimeter railings.

We also are carrying out work to 4 no sites for the Caravan Club of Great Britain involving new hardstands, roads and drainage, work for Balfour Beatty Ltd at Normand Park in Fulham and we are shortly due to start the refurbishment of 2 ball games areas for Citywest Homes, Westminster

Progress Report

At Priory Park in Reigate work continues, but we have recently handed over the new childrens playground, the car park and the ball games areas.

A new playground at Reculver School in Herne Bay was completed in January, as was the work to provide new hardstands and roads at the Daleacres Caravan Club site in Hythe.
